I was listening to the heartland feed and is hearing med units i do not know were they are.

You may also hear 6391 from the Sycuan Indian Reservation.

I know 17 is an AMR unit and I believe the other rural units except maybe Julian are AMR rigs as well. There is a member here who works for AMR that can better answer that question.

I was watch battalion san diego. at the beginning they had a unit called star. what is it used for?

STAR is Special Trauma and Rescue. They roll to any SWAT callouts.

The STAR Medics are used for both SWAT calls and other specialized rescue, such as cliff rescues.

Medic 61 is Borrego Springs

any 200 AMR Medic unit is East County, 400 is South Bay...

On Monte VIsta, you will hear 4 digit units. Medic 7793 is Valley Center, 7191/7192 is Deer Springs, 7891/7892 is Ramona. I've heard a few others but am not sure where they are out of...
