recording local fire dispatch

I'd like to record fire dispatch on city TRS ID 5008 but only when the dispatch pertains to my area. Most of the time when I hear an engine responding to a call they're already on the road. Do the fire stations receive data prior to the audio dispatch? If so maybe I could use that data to key my rec...

What city are you inquiring about? SDPD has no "car-to-car" talkgroups labled as such. They do have a small assortment of conventional (non-trunked) frequencies in their radios, however, they never use them. Most car-to-car type activity is done on TAC of DISPATCH 2 (d2's) Other cities ar...

I like to listen to local sheriff and fire dispatch, and fire, med, police air. If it's really quiet I search city trs. Usually something interesting going on there, especially at night on the weekend.

ASTREA and ABLE

ASTREA is stationed at Gillespie and ABLE at Montgomery. I can hear them come and go on the tower freqs. Does anyone know if they use other non-trunked freqs?
