Re: REACH medical helicopters
N37RX flew continuous practice ILS approaches at Montgomery from about 10:15 to 11:00. They then landed for fuel and were on the ground for about 30 minutes and then did more practice approaches until at least 12:30 when I left the airport. When aircraft do those kind of practice approaches at MYF t...

Re: REACH medical helicopters
The N37RX REACH helicopter has lettering on it listing Pioneer Memorial and El Centro Region Medical Centers, so apparently they fly out of Imperial County. There's a photo of it here, if you are interested. It's a 2007 Eurocopter Deutschland EC135 P2+. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/bq2U8NZys...

REACH medical helicopters
I saw a REACH medical helicopter (Reach Med 10 - N37RX) making repeated practice ILS approaches to Montgomery Field, and a landing for fuel, this morning and a second one (N45RX) heading for Sharp Memorial. They are owned by Mediplane Inc. in Santa Rosa.

Re: SDPD Cessnas?
Looks like they didn't use that IFR flight plan. Either they canceled the trip or they went VFR.

Re: SDPD Cessnas?
Good catch on that, Brian. Unfortunately it will be too dark at Montgomery to see anything but his position lights. There was a Mohave County (AZ) Sheriff's Cessna 210 at Montgomery on Wednesday picking up a prisoner. He parked in the transient parking area in front of the terminal and walked the gu...

Re: New Mercy Air 5?
Thanks for the info. I had seen it from a distance once, but the photo is great.
Mercy Air 2 landed at Sharp Memorial the other day while I was at Montgomery Field. I didn't get a good view of it, but it looked like a Bell 412.

Re: SDG&E Helicopter
I think that N369KK, a Hughes 369D, also registered to Blackhawk Helicopters is also being used for power line or gas pipeline inspections. I heard Montgomery Tower talking to that aircraft today and it sounded like they said they were on an inspection flight. I don't have a picture of that one.

Re: SDG&E Helicopter
I know this is an old thread, but I believe that N206KK, a Bell 206L-1 registered to Blackhawk Helicopters at Gillespie Field is being used to patrol either power lines or gas pipelines for S D G & E. There is a photo at the following page.

Re: Regional Fire Authority
Those agencies are currently split between Cal Fire dispatch and Heartland dispatch. I wonder if that will change.
