SDPD Dispatch Question

Post by talkgrp1central »

New user, new to scanning need it for work, essentially residential security in a neighborhood. I appreciate any help you can offer.

Purchased a Uniden BC75XLT. I need to be able to hear local SDPD/SDFR transmissions. I can not find the San Diego Police Dispatch channel that we generally use in the office, located here: https://www.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/6740

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
Brian

It will not work with 800 MHz, trunking and digital systems.
Frequency coverage for the BC75XLT covers only 25-54 MHz, 108-174 MHz, 406-512 MHz.

SDPD/SDFR is on this San Diego City 800MHz trunked system.

SDPD/SDFR will soon be moving over to this San Diego City 700 MHz trunked system.

You should be looking at newer updated scanners that will work on the newer systems in San Diego area. (Uniden BCD996P2 and BCD325P2, BCD536HP/BCD436HP, HomePatrol2, etc or Whistler digital scanners.)
