Allied agencies accessing TRANS (CBP/DHS repeater)

Post by brandon »

Does anyone know if there is there a patch talkgroup from the RCS to TRANS, or do the allied agencies have a VHF radio programmed with Border Patrol freqs? I have heard Carlsbad, Coronado and La Mesa calling on the TRANS repeater and was curious about this.

Just as there are 'patch' circuits between the RCS and the City system, there is a 'patch' circuit between the RCS and CBP dispatch. The RCS agency console patches their talkgroup with "RCS-CBP", and the CBP dispatcher selects the CBP channel resource to be patched.
