This morning I heard Engine 5302 on Heartland. I did not hear it long enough to tell where it was or what it was doing. Is this a Coronado rig and the start of using the county #s?

Thanks, I knew that

I thought maybe it was Chula Vista changing their numbering before moving to SD Dispatch. Does anyone know whether they will be using the 51, 52 etc numbers, or change to 5201, 5202, etc?

From what I heard they are still using their RCS talkgroups and SDFD will have RCS to dispatch them and as for the units I think that they are going to stay the same like T-51,E-51 etc.

SDFD was testing their interface with us today. We have been told they will still be on the Chula Vista channels and use the same designators.

Yes we will. I'm not sure when the contract ends though.

Thanks Duane I figured you'd pop in there. Mike I'm not sure it all depends on who they award the contract to, but as Duane stated it won't be for a few more years.
