SDP1/2

In the LEAN meeting minutes, they frequently refer to RCS/SDP1 or SDP2. Is this the "phone patch 1" or "2" in the SD City TRS or is it another TG that I can't find?
SDP1 and SDP2 are connections between the consoles at Station M and the consoles at Station A, used to patch talk groups across the two networks.SDnative wrote:In the LEAN meeting minutes, they frequently refer to RCS/SDP1 or SDP2. That's pretty obvious from the context but there should be a TG that appears active on either system when this patch is active.800 wrote:SDP1 and SDP2 are connections between the consoles at Station M and the consoles at Station A, used to patch talk groups across the two networks.
Which ever San Diego City talk group is connected to SDP1 or SDP2 (which are not a TG, but are an audio circuit only [like a phone patch, without the phone]), and which ever RCS talk group is connected at the Station M end. Since it is not a connection of two TGs in the same system, there is not a third TG ID generated.OSW wrote:That's pretty obvious from the context but there should be a TG that appears active on either system when this patch is active.800 wrote:SDP1 and SDP2 are connections between the consoles at Station M and the consoles at Station A, used to patch talk groups across the two networks.
Strangely, I don't see why SD City names TG's after a phonepatch when the only way they could be used for a "phone patch" is if the option to call in to the trunked system and appear on a TG is enabled. This is another topic though.
The question is, what's the ID for these SDP1 and SDP2 TG's.

You are correct in essence. [SDPD does have direct access to LES CMD and at least one of the TACs.]SDnative wrote:So let's say that Sheriff Santee is working something and requests CHP, so they patch to LE S CMD or TAC. Then it moves to SDPD area so Sheriff also patches to SDP1 and SDPD patches Eastern to SDP1 on their side, so that everyone can talk/listen to each other. Or can SDPD patch direct to LE S?
