The bulk of the chp in SD county is on the RCS system which your pro93 can't monitor. The exception is Temecula and Oceanside units.

Er, only east county is on the RCS. The other areas have assigned talkgroups, but do not use them. And east county continues to use low band (repeatered) as well as the RCS.

BORDER COMMUNICATIONS CENTER
Location Office Units CH
San Diego 645 87 Orange-1
Oceanside 650 92 Tan-1
El Cajon* 680 108 (on RCS)
Temecula 685 115 Tan-1
Rainbow Inspection Facility 686 134 Tan-1
San Onofre Insp Facility 651 132 Tan-1
Otay Mesa Insp Facility 646 142 Orange-1
Border Air Operations 122

Orange-1 is 39.4 Repeater output
Tan-1 is 39.8 Repeater output
Gold-1 (the old, and still in use El Cajon channel, as far as I know, at least out in the desert) is 39.6 Repeater output.

See: http://www.scandiego.com/CHP/CHP.htm for detailed info. (hit the 'submit' button to get a full listing of info)

El Cajon office units still uses GOLD for car to car direct. It is also simulcast with their RCS talkgroup from time to time, possibly for better coverage or to accommodate a unit that does not have RCS.

Uuuuuummmmmhhhhhhh. Looks like I made some bad assumptions. I only listen to them when there's a pursuit. I'll have to listen to lo-band more often.
