Santa Ana Winds Brings Extra Tankers to Ramona

Winter like weather in Northern California has allowed CAL FIRE to reposition additional firefighting aircraft at Ramona. This means that Ramona has doubled its normal amount of airtankers to four and a type I Helitanker. These additions have been made in anticipation of greater fire danger! With our seasonal Santa Ana winds on the horizon. Additional aircraft will give ground crews the resources to fully attack multiple wild land fires at once. Hopefully Saving San Diego County from another major fire. Because to my way of thinking the real fire season is just getting started.
