El Cajon PD

For years, ECPD has had five master beats 6,7,8,9, and 10.
Basically: 6- Northwest
7- Northeast
8- Southwest
9- Southeast
10- Central
Recently I've been hearing "5" units...today was 205.
Anyone know where that beat is located?

I don't know about 800, but I am in El Cajon...and SDSO and ECPD have been getting much worse, both with the "machine gun" key-up and units going digital...dispatch asking for 10-9s.

SDFD Dispatchers

Does anyone know how long the shifts are for SD Fire dispatchers. It may just be me, but I seem to hear the same voices for 12-14 hours straight. Have they switched to longer shifts or perhaps forced into overtime?

SD Fire Map pages

Is there a problem with the MDC's or a change in policy? I am hearing dispatches today referencing both the fire map and Thomas Brothers coordinates.

Well...I haven't paid much attention since the east loop became operational, but I'm pretty sure East Mutual Aid talkgroups are still on the RCS south loop...as they ahve been in the past.

You might want to keep Fire East Mutual Aid talkgroups programmed...depending on where you are. Big wildland fires in the mountains and Campo / Lake Morena / Dulzura areas (etc) are run on those.

Heartland Zone is basically an admin channel. Units going out for training / repair / etc. Think of it as a hailing channel. Generally speaking, medical dispatches go out on Command 1 Tac 1. When there are a lot of medical aids, you'll hear them alternate between Tac 1 and Tac 2. Other responses get...
