TAC Channels

I was listening to a San Diego Police event the other night with great interest. Was hearing it all until they said they were going to TAC 1. At that time the party ended for me. I have a Uniden BCD396T. Are the TAC channels encrypted or something so that we scanner can not listen. I am new at this ...

Quick Programming Question for BCD396T

While the unit is scanning the frequencies, I have noticed that there are some that almost always have activity. Is there quick way to press a button and save just the ones I want to hear so I can just scan those frequencies? In other words, would like to save those frequencies in there own special ...

I tried that but it does not appear to be anywhere. The selection page is blank and tells me at the bottom to select the .scn file. I have searched my computer and there is no .scn files for Uniden.
