Re: JoeyC's post...

According to Motorolas website, there is no such thing as an XTS3100 (unless this is a BRAND new product). It's not a brand new product. As I posted earlier, I too could not find any info about this HT. Not surprised that Motorola would not show it on its site since Homeland Security is involved. F...

Re: XTS 3100

Scott47, Excuse my ignorance, but I happen to know a little something about Motorola radios, and I can't say I have ever heard of, or seen an XTS3100. I own XTS3000's and 5000's. I know there are some XTS1500, XTS2500, and 3500's out there, but I have never seen a XTS3100. Are you sure it's not a X...

Re: LISTEN TO ME

LISTEN TO ME: BP is NOT!!! 800 or 900 they are DIGITAL AND ENCRIPTED in the 160-170mhz band. I agree with you 31. I think the confusion came about because many BP agents thought their digital radios were higher up in the spectrum due to seeing lots of other cities here in the county and even the co...

Border Patrol HT's

I finally got to "inspect" close-up a BP HT from a friend of my wife here in El Centro. Frustration set in once I asked questions and examined it closely! The HT is a Motorola A XTS 3100. It has a built in screen, yet it is totally blank on ALL channels/settings! To make matters worse, whe...

Audio Stream

Who In EL Centro with high speed internet is going to run windows encoder and stream the audio to a **(select few)** of us? _________________ 31 Moderator. As you and others know, I tried the encoder and first found out it only worked on our computers only. A most helpful poster pointed out a mista...

RSC?

I know what RCS stands for but what is RSC? It is a barcode "tag/sticker" with a combination of letters and numbers located on the backside of my wife's HT (with the battery pack removed).

Re: Re: Reply to nobody33

nobody33, I laughed out loud about the ambulance transfers! We get so many pregnant women desparate to have their child born "here", it's unbelievable. Either by ambulance/car/resucue truck/on foot and collasping on the floor at the POE, etc, it is amazing. There are also many transfers to...

"and ALSO a call for a ladder truck from Mexicali." My wife told me the federal government and Mexico have an agreement for the use of mutual aid in fire emergencies. (At least in our county. Does not know about others.) It works like this: Whomever is in command at a fire scene after dete...
