Just the San Diego Rural departments (what CDF was dispatching for awhile there a few years back) or all of what used to be dispatched by Heartland on the Inland talkgroups (pretty most of the rural FD agencies in the county)?

154.2350 was the old Zone 1 Rancho Fire dispatch channel ... 154.3850 was Zone 2, 154.3250 was Escondido, and Oceanside was on 159.1650 (or something like that). North County Fire (Fallbrook and Rainbow) are still on 154.2350 with a PL of something like 114.8. I do believe NCFD is joining Rancho som...

Even with all of the RCS tacs available to them, I've heard CHP doing car-to-car on 39.6000 outside Ramona. A few weeks back, the RCS and low-band frequency were patched together for a CHP helicopter doing off-road enforcement with local units outside Jamul. Even if they don't go back, 39.6000 is st...

Fish & Game PL Info

Because intermod (and computer interference) is evil, I have a great respect for PL tones :) Here's what I have for Fish & Game - any other info is greatly appreciated! (Fish & Game are nice enough to usually say what transmitter they're on so it makes data gathering easy) Fish & Game - ...

Didn't actually catch voice transmissions on these systems - They must be highly specific to certain areas (Banner Ranch, for example, only covers the area of Banner Grade from east of Julian to the desert floor), or overlapped by the bigger zones (Harmony Hill and Hubbard Hill). They're licensed sy...

Now that I think about it, I would assume those conventional channels on each tower would be part of the RCS data system?

I got a bunch more data on fill-in sites I need to get together as well :D

I see almost no rural fire agencies on there - Does that mean they have P25 capable radios already? Seems like a LOT to spend on communications for departments that can't afford new fire fighting equipment :? It would be GREAT if there was an "RCS East" - Sure a lotta territory to cover ou...
