It is a company out of Gillespie that does contract work to SDGE. Here is a link to a photo I got of them a couple years ago. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Untitled/Hughes-369...-500.../0518282&tbl=photo_info&photo_nr=3&sok=WHERE__%28reg_%3D_%27N38CP%27%29_&sort=_order_by_photo_id_D...

Ok, so you back off and let the guy drive around. You lock down a several square block area. Then he pulls over and runs from the car. Who is he? You may have the car, but no one who is close enough to say for certain he is the driver. Once again it is a system that is designed by someone who thinks...

There are lots of ways to know where a guy is. That is not the problem with pursuits. (which is the issue addressed by this thing.) The issue in pursuits is how to stop the car. Invent something that gets the car stopped in a safe manner and you will have police agencies beating down your door. As f...

With the old tone you could talk over it (much as you can talk over the dispatcher....) The new tone did not allow for any traffic while it was doing it's thing. It has now been cast aside till someone figures out how to get something like the "old" tone back. Why someone didn't realize th...

If I remember right it was a 245 shooting suspect who wound up at the animal control office. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Several of us have scanners in the car as well so we can monitor other agencies. For some reason you can't make a scan list out of the rcs freqs that you can sca...

Some SDPD radios have the ability to go to the RCS system. All of the K-9 cars have been programmed into RCS since they frequently assist agencies that are on the RCS system. N patch is needed for them.
