Re: Fleetmaps

Thanks. These look like what I have been hearing with the dispatcher giving both old and new names to channels.

Fleetmaps

I have noticed over the last several days that CalFire is including the 10alpha designator when dispatching for units to use their's or other's RCS channels, but not when using their VHF frequencies. Have the Fleetmaps been approved and implemented? Does anyone have the current edition to pass on?

Re: Blue Angels on 3/14

I thought they might be close by. I work near MCASMiramar. Last week I saw a plane take off, and I was pretty sure that it was the Blue Angels supply plane. They took off the normal west bound, then made a wide turn east bound. They must have come to get something they left behind last year

Scanner mobile antenna

Does anyone use the SpectrumForce Wideband mag mount or the Scan-Force mobile antennas? If so, how do they do on all of San Diego's different systems? If there are other ones that do great on all bands, let me know also. I currently use the Radio Shack tri-band and I am happy with it, but I want som...

Re: City system bleedover

I have noticed that a lot recently. Scanner stops on a PD TG, and it is fire/medic talking. I haven't heard them acknowledge that it was bleedover. I thought maybe my scanner had a brain fart

Re: Air TAC channel?

Maybe the 'SAM' was thinking of City M/A 10, 20, 30, which have been used for AIR traffic during wildfires. :?:

Re: NewsChopper 7/39

That would explain the strange looking video from the chopper on 739 last night. KGTV transmitts news in HD, and KNSD does not. The picture looked squashed.

Re: SDPD TAC 4

I hear this daily. I never let my scanner sit on the channel so I don't catch any unit numbers. I thought maybe they have created a north/south pair of channels for busy times, but it is every day.

SDPD TAC 4

Does anyone know why SDPD uses their TAC4 for inquiries so much? Is the regular inquiry channel busy, or not working?
