I have heard that on SD City also. I believe they are using the term triage to mean that they are still talking to the caller to try to find out what the problem is, just like a triage is set up at an accident to determine the extent of injuries, etc.

It might have gone with our county firefighters to Northern CA to help with the fires. I have heard some 1## engines within San Diego also.

They probably have to pull their weapon, then attach the camera, which gives them more time to consider whether they need to shoot or not
