Hardly professional

If your definition of "professional" is having one of your armed, uniformed guards arrested for dui, hit & run, fleeing from police in neat looking green marked vehicle and carrying a firearm with no permit, then by all means call them "professional". This company is the Brit...

Quack Shack.

I dealt with Roger Boy many moons ago. When trunked scanners first hit the market. He told me only law enforcement could own them and refused to sell me one. When he found out I worked on an indian reservation, he said I was eligible for a "Federal Exemption" to purchase one. Then of cours...

Not splinter

RCS (Sheriff's, San Diego County) is not a splinter system and is combination of digital and analog.

TRS (SDPD, San Diego City) is a splinter system and is analog only.

If you need the help

I do not own a 996, but I am fairly familiar with programming most scanners. I am in El Cajon. If you like I would be willing to drive up and look at your setup in person and try to help.

Let me know.

The 2 on the right side is so officers know they can only use it for second watch. To keep the new cars from being beat down real quick the garage puts the two on certain cars so they only run one shift a day. The big 2's are northeast cars. They must have got a shipment larger than the rest of the...

New unit marking

I saw an SDPD marked unit with a large 2 on the back right side of the trunk, next to the tail light. Any ideas as to what this additional decal is for?
