you would have to be within close range (a block or 2). the freq is not repeated on the city TRS.

you're thinking of camzone, which feeds metro (ch 8) chopper's signal. they are not over the incident currently.

i doubt they would make that feed available. i believe they use a BMS omni microwave transmitter similar to the ones on news helicopters.

OK i understand firefighting equipment is specialized and whatnot, but why does ONE chopper (bell 212 or equivalent) cost $16 MILLION?!?!?! san diego PD air support spent something like $13 Million on 4 birds and FLIR equipment!!!
