The bait money, usually from a bank robbery has a transmitter imbedded somewhere in the stack. This enables the police to track the directions and whereabouts of the 211 suspect.

There was a homicde that night and they were working with other agencies (Sheriff) on that, so that may be one reason.

Battery Life

It all depends and how much activity your scanner is getting. I use a PowerEx 1600 mAH by Maha in a Uniden 235 for SD Fire dispatch only. I can usually get 20 hours of usage. If you are running a 245 with multipile trunking systems and vhf/uhf, 8 hours may be excellent. Running your scanner in Metro...

Pro-96 Programming

It seems that the scanner is in the open mode. It is searching everything on the RCS south. Try the closed mode and program the talkgroups you wish to hear in that bank. You can toggle between the open and closed mode on the keypad by pressing FUNC 5 on the keypad or by using the software jkphotog1
