RCS transmitter sites vs. frequencies used at each site

Either I'm on hallucinogenic drugs or the RCS site, description and frequency list on this web site doesn't seem to match up with current reality, at least not for the Hubbard Hill tower, just two thousand feet and a clear line of site from my current location. For example, I'd think that the control frequency shown for Hubbard Hill, 865.25, should be strong here in Escondido, but is actually weak. 863.15 (which is listed as an RCS North control frequency) is the strongest control channel I'm receiving here. But 863.15 is listed as a control frequency at the Campo site. Also, other than being listed under RCS North, 863.15 is not listed as a frequency in use at any of the transmitter sites which are physically located in the North zone. So where is the transmitter site for 863.15 really located? From the signal strength, I'd guess it's somewhere near Escondido or San Marcos. The discrepency is not limited to control frequencies, but also occurs with the voice freqencies (for instance, I'm supposedly receiving an Emery Hill voice frequency right now -- highly unlikely). So while the frequencies listed for RCS North are accurat (they seem to be), those listed for the individual transmitter sites are not accurate?

Could be true. Perhaps the smart zone cells are outdated and have changed. No one pays much attention to them due to lack of use.

One would have to run trunker on them to get all freqs of the site and the site number.

Perhaps someone here has updated information to share.?

Hubbard Hill is still showing Site-ID 27 - Control channel 865.2500

The site wasn't very active today(Jan11th)
I see more active stuff on the 'Harmony Hill' site then 'Hubbard Hill'.

but all my scanner is setup to listen on RCS North not the sites above.

Sorry about not getting the information to you sooner. I was out of town
checking out the new uniden scanner. Just got my scanners back scanning San Diego stuff now after listening to local Las Vegas stuff.

So where are the "RCS North" transmitter sites physically located? I'd think those would be all the same sites as shown on the site map, including Hubbard Hill. Is the site map out of date? I guess I'll have to get myself an 800Mhz Yagi and play detective.

Don't know if anyone has a list. But you can go to the FCC website and search for freq 863.1500 and look at each radio site. That gives you a rough idea where it's located.

If you want to get a idea of where that RCS Freq is just look it up and play detective. ;)

Just Check These boxes
State: California
Status: Active
Exact Freq: 863.1500
Display: 100

Some what I found real fast:
RED MOUNTAIN RAINBOW, CA SAN DIEGO County - WPJS224
BLACK MTN - POWAY, CA SAN DIEGO County - WPJS225
SAN MARCOS MTN - VISTA, CA SAN DIEGO County - WPJS226
4.5 MILES WSW OF ROMONA, CA SAN DIEGO County - WPJS227
LAKE SAN MARCOS PK SAND MARCOS, CA SAN DIEGO County - WPJS228
SOLEDAD MTN N LA JOLLA SAN DIEGO, CA SAN DIEGO County - WPJS229
CAMPO, CA SAN DIEGO County - WPJS230
ENCINA POWER - CARLSBAD, CA SAN DIEGO County - WPJT680
Hubbard Hill Escondido, CA SAN DIEGO County - WPWL746 & WQBL567
650 Benet Hill Rd Oceanside, CA SAN DIEGO County - WPWL747 & WQBY298

I think this might be for "SDSO Echo III" Radio Truck - WPJS223

Maybe sean has a map or list of sites he can add to the website of RCS North & South sites.
