NWS "It's gonna be really fracking hot" alert

Looking at my temp gauge at 9 am and seeing 86F outside, I believe it.

COACHELLA VALLEY-SAN DIEGO COUNTY DESERTS- 900 AM PDT WED JUN 18 2008 ...HOT DAYS INLAND THROUGH SATURDAY... STRONG HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL CONTINUE HOT DAYS INLAND THROUGH SATURDAY. MOST INLAND AREAS WILL BE WELL ABOVE SEASONAL AVERAGES WITH MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES IN MOST OF THE INLAND EMPIRE AND UPPER DESERTS AROUND 100 TO 105 DEGREES AND NEAR 100 DEGREES IN THE WARMER SAN DIEGO INLAND VALLEYS. MOUNTAINS RESORT AREAS WILL BE IN THE MID 80S TO MID 90S AND THE LOWER DESERTS WILL HAVE HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE 110 TO 115 DEGREE RANGE. WEAK UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE WILL BRING A LITTLE COOLING EARLY NEXT WEEK. HIGH TEMPERATURE WILL BE NEAR OR JUST SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL. PEOPLE PLANNING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES SHOULD TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THE HOT WEATHER AND ADJUST ACTIVITIES ACCORDINGLY. AVOID PHYSICAL EXERTION DURING THE HOTTEST PART OF THE DAY. WEAR LOOSE FITTING LIGHT WEIGHT CLOTHING AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SHADE AND AIR CONDITIONING IF AVAILABLE. NEVER LEAVE PEOPLE OR PETS IN ENCLOSED AUTOMOBILES.
