Burning object falling from sky

Did anyone hear the calls about this? About 3:30 today, two different people reported a burning object falling from the sky. One RP was in the Pine Valley area and thought the object must have landed nearby. Another RP was a LEO out in Glamis and he reported seeing it at high altitudes. Astrea was called and USFS and BLM put out calls to be alert to smoke in the area but none was spotted. Airports and other agencies were queried about missing planes but none were reported. Astrea thought that whatever it was came from space burned up before hitting ground.

While I didn't hear the traffic, from a historical perspective I would have to go with ASTREA's theory.
Space debris enter the atmosphere regularly, burning up as they do so. Reports (usually at night, but not impossible for day time) are often wide spread (over thousands of square miles), and (having no size or elevation reference) a number of folk are certain "it went down in the next valley/canyon/block over."

The information that it was also seen in Glamis supports the space debris theory.
