LAPD Motorcycle Officer killed in car crash (Video)

It seems that this happened on 07/29/07, anybody have further details on it? The video isn't graphic but its pretty disturbing.

oh man thats awful I couldn't imagine what the people that witnessed that felt like thats scary. All my respects go out to the friends and family of the officer

That is a sad image to see any officer killed even on their way home or to somewhere else. I know my heart skipped a beat seeing the motorcycle hit the car and then unknown where he was thrown to but, where the motorcycle landed up next to the shoulder. But it is sad and my prayers went out to their families.
