Border Patrol

Come here to talk about the San Diego and Imperial County Regional Communications System. This is a great resource to share talkgroups and information about the countywide RCS.

I guess Border Patrol does not have TGs on the RCS??? This morning I heard an El Cajon PD unit tell dispatch that he was switching to BP. Moments later I heard him on the SDCity TRS BP TG 3376 to run a subject for legal status. I doubt that CHP or SO use the City system to talk to BP in east county. What do they normally use????

I've heard the BP do patches before between their VHF and RCS talkgroups (during some SARs in the east county). Beyond that, unless the unit has a BP radio (VHF P25 usually encrypted), they're going through dispatch to talk to them. The BP does have Law CC for communications with other agencies. They also have that TG on the city system.
