ABLE freqs?

Post by dangitdoug »

I work just north of Montgomery Field, so I see ABLE go EOS every night. Some nights they seem to conducting some type of training in the direct vicinity of the airport. Does anybody know what freqs they might be using during these training sessions?

ABLE FREQS

I have heard them testing some equipment a few times, they used a TAC channel that time...nothing special.

I have not heard anything on TRS, so I am guessing they are using VHF freqs. I just have not been able to locate them. They looked like they were practicing dive bombing around 0130 today. Looked rather scary in the dark. A chopper diving at that speed at night. I had to change my BVD's and all I was doing was watching!!

I'm not sure what they were doing. There was no autorotation. They would hover at about 150' then dive at about a 45 degree angle at a very high rate of speed. Brave manuever in the dark!!
