Pacific Highlands Ranch Fire Station 47 is located at 6041 Edgewood Bend Court in Pardee Homes’ master-planned community of Pacific Highlands Ranch.
Pacific Highlands Ranch is a master-planned community located just east of Carmel Valley and west of Rancho Peñasquitos in San Diego, along the State Route 56 corridor.

Construction is underway on the new fire station and it is expected to be completed in November 2007.
Pacific Highlands Ranch Fire Station 47 is a collaboration between Pardee Homes and the City of San Diego. Pardee Homes is financing and building the new fire station, with reimbursement to be provided from development fees.
The City of San Diego is purchasing the land for the Pacific Highlands Ranch Fire Station 47 from Pardee Homes.
In keeping with Pardee Homes’ and the City of San Diego’s commitment to energy-saving features, the 10,500-square-foot building was designed with green building techniques making it 30 percent more energy efficient than conventional buildings.
Pacific Highlands Ranch Fire Station 47 will reduce emergency response times and will extend the City’s safety net. The project includes a brand new facility, a fire engine, ladder truck and an ambulance.
STK Architecture Inc. designed the fire station. The architecture firm has designed several fire stations throughout Southern California.
Tovey/Schultz Construction Inc. is building Pacific Highlands Ranch Fire Station 47. The construction cost for the fire station is $5.2 million.
