Mother@#$%^&*ing Snakes!

It seems like suddenly Heartland is sending out a bunch of snake retrieval dispatches. Did the east county FDs get trained to take over for animal control?

I work for AMR out of the Alpine Fire Station. The guys here have 5 gallon buckets and snake poles. They go out catch the snake bring it back here to the station and then call the snake guy out here in Alpine who comes to retrieve the snake. Some of the snakes are used for his display at the open house in Oct. Actually today they had a walk in snake bite which we missed because we were out on another call.

Very cool. Guess it makes sense, they're closer to respond than DAC or any area shelters and turnouts are better to protect against snake bites too.

I think I heard a walk-in dispatch, not sure if it was that one specifically.
