Ongoing discussions regarding other fire dispatching in San Diego County including Heartland, NorthComm, Monte Vista, etc. Topics about general wildland fire scanning are also welcome here.

On the RCS system, Fire air was active earlier this evening. Mutual aid cmd 3 and mutual aid tac 4 have had some traffic. I heard traffic on a calcord frequency earlier. El Cajon CHP talkgroups have been active as well. Of course, there is traffic on multiple CDF frequencies.

To monitor the fire, my BCD396T is scanning the CDF frequencies that are listed in the Southern California Frequency Directory book and select sets of talkgroups from the RCS and City of San Diego systems.

I hooked up my scanner to ARC396 before going to bed, and as I am checking it right now in the early morning hours, I see that the following CDF frequencies have been active during the night:

151.1900 - CDF CMD 10
151.1900 CTSS 131.8 - MVU L
122.9 - Victor Net 2

For CDF frequencies, CDF CMD 5 (151.37) and 136 LNP (170.075) are active today with Spanish speakers -- my Spanish is pretty good, but they were talking very quickly for me to follow everything. I did catch some references to Escondido though. I was monitoring from Mt. Soledad for a brief while this morning...

I heard on 7/39 this morning, that the Harris fire went a little south of the border, but since it was not too bad, the Mexican fire services were sending some of their units to help in Escondido or elsewhere.
