45552 - Department of Environmental Health 2

Come here to talk about the San Diego and Imperial County Regional Communications System. This is a great resource to share talkgroups and information about the countywide RCS.

Couple weeks ago I saw this ID pop up but it was P25 clear with an open carrier... didn't hear enough voice to ID it. Let us know what you find on it.

I would be willing to bet it is a new Port District talkgroup. Since it is encrypted it is just a guess, but it would make sense. With all the homeland security money out there, I could see the Port District getting encrypted radios.

I've been monitoring Groups 45520, 45536 and 45552 for awhile and have heard users from the Disaster Medical Strike Team use these ID's as recent as Thursday Nov 30th...

Don't know for sure... What I've been hearing is talking between users, nothing specific...

Would be funny if they did. You remember a few years ago, they switched the Port's system to digital for their PD. Then, because it sucked, they went back to analog. Now if they join the RCS, they will be back to digital...
