I don't know if they use Nextel but I pick up Mercy Air every day on 131.675. Sounds like dispatch calls because frequency assignments being given and details about the call. The base side ID's as LifeComm.

From the LifeCom website:

LifeCom fields calls and provides flight coordination, flight following, and logistical support for air medical programs across the nation. LifeCom takes calls from communities as remote as Death Valley and as urban as Atlanta — and it's all but invisible to the entities placing the call for help.

As I understand it, their primary dispatch is via pagers. The radios are secondary, like SDFD.
