They moved to the PRT repeater... Any chance of hearing them now? I tried direct entry on the freq mentioned above and either I did something wrong or that isn't the right freq, can't hear em...

you would have to be within close range (a block or 2). the freq is not repeated on the city TRS.

I went down to the scene, staying a safe distance out to where I wouldn't get in the way or anything and tried using the close call in the 800mhz and still couldn't hear anything. I think I need some practice with that... I did get to talk with the sniper as he was putting his gear away... He was a pretty cool guy, said everyone was alive and it ended peacfully.

The other one to try for the PRT freq.
No one confirmed/heard it yet on this forum... The license was issued in 2006.

Good info, maybe next time something like this goes down, one of those may be active. I would figure that the close call would have picked something up, though I am not 100% sure I know how to use it. I had the book for the scanner with me and I think I set it up right but I am not sure. I only hade it searching the 800MHZ, had all the other freq ranges off.

Thanks for the info!

Sweet that someone was all over it, But dang I missed it. Was messing around with my dirt bikes (before we out to ride) while I had the 996 set up in the truck so I cranked it up to hear it from the garage. I heard something about this, and didnt follow it (was on southern)

Thanks!
