Any and all paramedic contracts throughout the county that are not solely fire department based (and this includes the San Diego contract) go out through an RFP (Request For Proposal). A commission generally looks over the submissions and awards the contract to the best. So who knows who will get the next San Diego contract, which is supposed to go to RFP a long time before the Chula Vista one.mike wrote:will SDFD'S medics be chula vista's medics when the contract with AMR ends?
