Air Attack Planes at Montgomery

Air Attack 330 and Air Attack 690 arrived at Montgomery Field about 12:45 this afternoon. The crews were picked up by Battalion 3309 and driven off the airport. (East on Aero Drive, away from Station 28 and the Comm Center.)

Air Attack 690 is N700BR, which is listed in the FAA records as being owned by L T Aire LLC in Mesa, Arizona.

What are they attacking? The one with crossbar tail looks like a close surveillance plane, the other one, well... further up and away.

Both planes left Montgomery Field bound for Ramona at about 5:00 PM.

John, sometimes people (especially people who work in aircraft) need to meet face-to-face to discuss things. Like how they are going to work with and communicate with other agencies. So the direct answer would be "coordination problems."

Close. AA 330 (like all of CalFIRE's coordination aircraft) is a surplus military OV-10 observation airplane, designed for monitoring battlefield activities.
