Motorola Speaker Plug Adaptation

I just got a Moto speaker (HSN4039A) for my mobile install and was wondering how easy it is to change the proprietary connecter to a 3.5mm male? I am looking to use it with a Uniden 796D. Sean, I noticed in your install description you use Moto speakers, any input here?

Cut off the old and install your new plug no real effort required.

Yeah, it's simple. It don't matter which wire you use, since they're isolated from ground
