RCS is entirely a Motorola Type II and should be programmed as a "splinter" system.

Whats a splinter system? On my scanner it can only be programmed as: EDACS, something VHF Hi, something VHF Lo, and moto type 1 and 2

I don't know about your scanner, but you should have a choice when you enter the trunk frequencies to use 800 standard or 800 splinter.

Try to use this easier to read manual for your scanner....

Only newer trunkers have that choice, BC235 and 245, even the 250 and 780 have just Type II 800.

And the RCS South Zone isn't a splinter system, it's standard.
