Yeah... is direct their channel 2/backup? If their coverage area is wide, that's not a great backup. Especially when the jammer can override you with the power repeater station.
A better backup would be a complete repeater reverse. Send a command code to the repeater, the output becomes the input and vice versa, and everyone gets their radios reprogrammed temporarily (since having it as a separate channel all the time would be easy enough for the jammer to figure out).
