Whats with SD Cnty FD?

Every Day for the past week I've been listening to Oprah or some such other drivel being broadcast on frequency on my drive home. At first I thought it was just some firefighter inadvertantly keying the mic on an HT while sitting on the couch, but every day? Doesnt dispatch jump all over an open mic situation by calling stations to find the culprit?

Which frequency? Heard Truck 34 or Engine 34 say on the RCS today that they have been having stuck mic issues (unresolved after techs checked it out) with their rig radio and would switch to portable for the dispatcher.
Other than that, KGTV's engineering freq might be simulcasting Oprah, have those locked out though.

Hmmm... I think you are on to something here. The scanner only seems to go off when I hit the 15 south around Miramar, which is close to KGTV over in KM. I wonder why they are using a frequency the same as county fire though...
I have yet to nail the actual frequency down - cant figure out how to get the 996T to display freq. and drive at the same time. I wrote the three frequencies down that I programmed into the unit and will try punching them into the 2 meter HT to see which one it is.

I have three frequencies programmed as SD Cnty FD (conventional):
154.175
154.235
155.085
Its one of them...
