pro-96 programming

Post by dan0077 »

I have a Radio Shack PRO-96. I need to program National City Police into it. I have the ID numbers such as 37904 37920 etc. Can someone walk me through getting these talk groups input? :( I'm totally confused.

I own a pro 96 and I program it by hand first I program the control channel frequencies and to insert a talkgroup I push the PGM button on the scanner and then I hit the TRUNK button and then I enter the ID and to add the text name to the ID I stay in that same mode and hit the button that says TEXT to enter the text name of the ID.Anyway let me know if this helps.

National City is on the RCS. Program in the South Zone Control Channels

These are the control freqs once you program them into your scanner you can push the scan button if you want and if you want the bank to be open it will display all the talkgroups that are being active at the time on the scanner and if you have it in closed mode it will only scan the ID's you program in it.
